Kids Pastel Christmas Tree

I know I get so wrapped up in my decor sometimes it can take a little bit of the fun out of Christmas.. so this year we decided to add another tree specifically for the kids!!.. I wanted the kids to be able to have a 'FUN' tree.. so we got one for the basement, a fitting spot where we have most of the toys and kids love to run around. Come see how it all turns out..

It was super fun to decorate another tree this year, I purchased this in-expensive white tree from walmart.ca and we all set to work.  I added whimsical ornaments like pastel colored birds, cupcakes, owl, pigs.. kid themed but pretty enough for an adult room.

Most of the ornaments were purchased 2 years ago from my local Zehrs grocery store.. I saw the colours of blush and aquas and was completely inspired to create a tree for my little girl.. Little did I know I would have a little guy as well.. So this year it turned out a tad girly.. next year I will try to add more masculine touches but right now my little guy is too little to notice..
For a simple tree skirt I used this vintage pastel plaid blanket that I had been hanging on to.. good thing I did cause it's in the same colour tones as all the ornaments ;)
The topper is a simple gold star that lights up
The gift wrap is a tad nontraditional.. its a pastel postal letter themed wrapping paper from Homesense, as well as the blush coloured Merry Christmas gift bag.
I just love how the white tree sparkles when lit... I wrapped the tree in a decorative silver floral mesh ( I purchased my roll at Michaels)..It just helped fill in the tree in some sparse areas and add some holiday sparkle.
Best of all the kids had a blast decorating it and absolutely love it!!
