Our Neutral Holiday House Tour

I always like to decorate with Neutrals and Vintage Decor. So for Christmas it was no different.. I incorporated lots of Burlap, Jute and wood throughout our home for a very natural organic feel.. Shall we say French Country Rustic Christmas.. The best part about decorating with neutrals is most of the decor can stay up once the Tree comes down ;) To keep the all the neutrals interesting, I used lots of glittery accents mixed with subtle touches of Red and Metallics. Now our Home feels warm and festive .. ready for the holiday season ahead.
See our FULL Christmas Home Tour... Come in and have a Look...

Today I was beyond excited to join Jennifer Rizzo Holiday House Walk Link Party.
Welcome to our home lets start our tour on the porch, A seasonal Burlap Banner hangs from our Antique Window frame .. at this time of year it reads 'Brrr'.. Paired with Preserved Boxwood wreaths and Rustic wooden trees.
Baby its cold outside.. Come on inside ;)
Our Christmas Tree sets the tone for our whole house ..it's wrapped in a wooden star vine garland with a new addition of a Woven Jute trim. Our Tree's ornaments are a mix of new and homemade, mostly made from Natural Materials like Burlap, wood, jute with touches of white. Topped with a Rattan wooden Star. See more Details about our Tree HERE
Our Tree skirt is my Holiday must have!! It grounds our tree and completes the look.
We placed our tree in this great galvanized wash tub that I picked up Antiquing this summer.
The wooden rocking horse stands in front of our fireplace waiting for our Daughter to play
For our Entry, the Burlap theme continues.. Handmade Burlap Pillows rest on on entry bench while a 'Joy' Banner hangs off the mirror..To keep our entry table feeling festive, I used a vintage inspired wooden Christmas sign with boxwood topiaries. See details on our Holiday Entry and Halls HERE
I was on a bit of a sewing spree so I made these J,O,Y pillows using left over green and beige striped pillows using leftover fabric, 6" stencils and chalk paint. I love how they look leaned on the bench.
The best way to create a Holiday Feel is through glitter. The sparkly Garland and ornaments make for a festive Hall Vignette.
In our Living Room we kept it simple, I used a large 'Grainsack' Santa Pillow to set the mood. For our coffee table display I used a Vintage driftwood candle holder with these extra large shimmery silver ornaments that we use as coasters.. See details on our Holiday Living Room HERE
Our Family Room is the HEART of our home.. It's where everyone gathers when we have people over, So naturally this is the room where we decided to set up our Christmas Tree. See details on our Holiday Family Room HERE
Red and cream ticking striped pillows transform our ordinary white sectional.
A Burlap 'Noel' Banner hangs from a Wooden sleigh on the wall
As side table centrepiece I used our old galvanized metal planter and I filled each side with Christmas elements. Fabric Candy canes on one side with yummy cinnamon sticks on the other.
Inside our large galvanized metal Lanterns, I wrapped the base of the pillar candles with two tones of metallic beaded garland
I wrapped the base of our banister with a faux garland that I basically stole at a garage sale this summer for $2!! And hung a believe sign that I made from Jute webbing underneath.  I made these Burlap and metallic silver polka dot lumbar pillows from fabric that I picked up from Joann fabrics online. I also made one for our front hall and stencilled it with the word Believe.. I was going to stencil festive words on these one's too but decided against it.. This way I can use them for more than just Christmas.
I displayed a glass cloche with a wooden star wrapped in starry lights from Restoration Hardware. This is the look with the starry lights all lit up.. It looks really pretty at night!
Our Dining room features soft neutral decor. For a table centrepiece I used a Painted Rustic wooden box full of Metallic tree ornaments with an eclectic mix of various Glass Candle holders I had lying around with Ivory coloured candles.. details on our Holiday Dining Room HERE
A Glittery Merry Christmas sign hangs from the glass knobs of our Hutch.
I hung a simple Linen Bow above the mirrors that flank our Dining Hutch.
On our louvered shutters I used Burlap Ribbon to hang a grapevine wreath. I added a silver polka dot bow with the fabric I had left over from making the pillows in our Family room and Entry.

A red striped jute webbing Banner with the words 'Be Merry' hangs off a vintage barn door in our basement. To jazz up a simple Burlap Body pillow I tied a thick piece of red and cream ticking striped fabric around it and then added a bow. It instantly made it look 'Christmas-ie'
In our Kitchen the chalkboard sets the mood to something a little more fun and festive... Eat Drink and be Merry. I drew some hanging ornaments on it too make it look a little more 'Merry!'
For a Holiday Table Centrepiece I filled a Vintage Dough bowl with pine cones, large silver jingle bells and a sparkling garland. See FULL details on our Holiday Kitchen HERE
On our Kitchen Island I used a Red 'Country Christmas' book with a white ceramic bowl placed on top. The bowl is full of holiday wording red ornaments .. Believe, Peace, Joy, Noel mixed in with spare greenery.

Our Kitchen features these built ins.. For the Holiday season I styled them with wooden nut crackers, a mix of ornaments in a glass canister and a wooden nut tree.
Thank you for taking time to view our Holiday Home Tour.. Happy Holidays to Everyone!!!
