Basement Bar Area Reveal

So here is the open area of our basement connected to the Family Rm .. We loved the rounded wall behind the bar so we didn't want to close it off.. So we went with a open Bar area.. We couldn't find something to fit the space or for a reasonable price so we customized a Rustic Bar for the space. See below on how we decorated our bar to keep with the coastal theme...

We are still waiting on lights and bar stools.. But you get the idea..
I will be posting a FULL tutorial on how we built this Rustic Plank wood Bar from an Ikea cabinet
We chose to go with a Vinyl Plank floor in this area as its the entry area from the pool area and the walkway to our bathroom and bar, so needless to say it may get WET.. I love the planks and the colouring couldn't be better for us.
The doors lead to the patio and Pool area
This is our view from the bar area of the rest of the basement.. Perfect view of the TV for sports nights. See our Basement Family Room REVEAL HERE.
Vintage inspired Brewery wooden Bar sign hangs behind Bar on rounded wall. The Paint colour is Benjamin Moore Grey Owl.
On the bar I wanted to keep with the Coastal theme so I displayed a vintage rope and hook, with a galvanized steel lantern from Target.
A wooden Barometer from my in-laws hangs above a wicker and rope basket.. It hides some flip flops for around the pool.
We have these great Mudroom storage units with hooks by the patio doors. Its a great spot to hang damp swimwear and towels in the summer and hats and snow pants in the winter. The baskets hide sunscreen, extra little swimmers, bubbles and outdoor chalk ;) Our kid is taking OVER!!!

  2. The bar looks beautiful in it's new spot. I love the beach feel that isn't over the top but so perfect for your basement pool area too.
