Florida Vacation Rental...

To celebrate the first official day of summer I decided to share a vacation home we stayed at recently.. This post is basically a ton of beautiful, beachy, shabby chic inspirational pics that I think y'all going to love!  I was in pure 'decor heaven' while away ;)

Not long ago we vacationed in the beautiful Anna Maria Island, Florida.. I recently instragram'd a few pics while we were away. This trip was a long time in the making! It first started approx. 2 years ago when I first saw this beach house in Coastal Living Magazine... I was in love .. It was sooooo me!! So then of course I just had to share the vacation idea/dream with my hubby.. well next thing I know he decided to look into it.. and sure enough we went this April. We had never rented a vacation house before so I wasn't sure what to expect.. All I knew is that I was going to enjoy my time there even if it rained ;)...Well this house was an absolute dream. So white and beachy yet had this comfy Home feel too. I had visions of how peaceful and calm it would be and it hit all my expectations. I absolutely fell in love with this house. I wish I could have stayed. Not sure if any of you have felt this way on a vacation before? But for me, most of the time at least.. that last day of a trip (no matter how much I love the place).. I'm ready to go home! But not this time..sign me up ;)

So here it is without further ado..
This house exudes charm!! The architectural / design details were everywhere!!  The bathrooms were so clean and white. And the walls.. ahhh like I don't already have enough of an obsession with wall planks and mouldings.. I told my hubby this trip is going to be 'expensive' cause of all the design inspiration everywhere!! ;)
Here is the framed magazine article ;)
Don't you just love this fun and unexpected light hanging above in the planked cathedral ceiling.
The view.. We were on the ocean yet the house was set back quite a ways from the water due to low tide in the recent years.. it was ok though, it was my daily exercise to make up for all the ice cream and drinks I was in-taking ;)
Leah Anderson art filled the house.. I'm so impressed. This house was just speaking to me.. wether it was art scenes or farm life I was hooked. I loved it so much so that I'm looking into how I can get me some of this art as I write this.
The main floor was a full open concept space with windows all around and a huge walk out balcony/deck covering the back of house overlooking beach and ocean.. It was a stunning view to wake up to.
The living room was open to the kitchen and dining room with distressed light, beachy, wide plank hardwood floors. And lots of white furniture with touches of aqua accents.
I love the way the home owner added touches vintage charm by mixing
in antique furniture and architectural salvage pieces.
This amazing framed hinged canvas opens up to hide the TV behind.
You can see it open with our lil' one watching her fav show.
The kitchen had simple white shaker style cabinets with pantry and island bar.
Here is yet another bathroom with more of Leah anderson's art.
Planked wood panelled walls covered the house.. It was pure heaven
This was one of the artwork pieces that really grabbed my attention..
The open concept Dining Room
How cute is this checker game?
Upstairs the bedrooms were bright, white and so peaceful.
Don't you feel calmer just looking at this place??  Wow can't wait to hopefully go back!
If any of you are interested in this place as we were.. We rented through VRBO The Halcyon on Anna Maria Island. Happy Summer Everyone!
