2Perfection Decor: Breakfast Room Reveal

So I'm so excited to share our Breakfast area today.. we've done some changes in here recently.. I found this antique wooden round table at an online auction recently with this really unique base and just had to have it!! I got it for a mere $50 but it does need some work..well a lot of work!! I know.. I know I just recently posted about our farmhouse rectangular kitchen table.. which we just did a makeover on by adding planks to the top of it.. Don't worry I still have it and love it But I couldn't resist this deal .. I should tell you, I have never had a round table before.. but I think I like it??. Then there is the tiny fact that I am super torn on which style I like??.. I really like BOTH ..ahh!! :( So please help me..what do you think? Do you prefer the round or rectangular farmhouse style for our space? leave me your comments below...

what I love about our new round table is that it is slightly wider than normal at 52" wide. Plus it has this base that reminds me of a flower petal, do you see it? ;) If we do decide to keep this table in here the plan is to paint the base a off white color to flow with our connecting kitchen. By adding a round table to our space it has allowed us more space for walking around and going out to our deck. The positives of the rectangle is it was a 6 seater, although I think if I wanted to splurge on all new chairs our round table could easily handle 6 chairs as well. Currently we are using 4 chairs that I refinished off Kijiji for $100 many years ago.. just jazzed up with these fabulous ruffled linen seat covers.

What a great statement for Fall..Gosh I love this quote.. I first saw it on Instagram via Sarah Richardson's feed.. then I posted the picture below onto my instagram .. and not to long after the fabulous author herself, 'Raquel Franco' liked and commented on my post :) I was so thrilled so say the least.

And lastly is a little spot just for the kiddo's .. I just shared it this week on my Instagram, tucked in the corner is a little nook for our kids to share a snack or play playdoh.. My son is still a touch young but it works well for my daughter and her little friends..
