Basement Rec Room Reveal

So I've been up to a few furniture changes down in our basement over the past few weeks.. I moved our 2 linen chairs that use to be at our kitchen head table chairs from our previous farmhouse table downstairs.. We currently don't need them upstairs anymore as we are trying out a round table in the kitchen to change things up a bit... We also moved our black and white settee sofa from the guest room downstairs.. We placed the settee right in front of the window, I love the way now I can sit with my feet up while watching and reading with the kids. So our Basement is DONE!! Yay.. more living space.. and the best part is now we have a carpeted play area for our daughter.. If you have been following you know we chose a cozy Grey carpet, a grey  ledge stone for our fireplace and Benjamin Moore Grey Owl paint for the walls.. Wow I guess there are fifty shades of Grey! ;) The decor theme is more relaxed with coastal touches to flow with our backyard pool view.. We kept our basement slightly different than our upstairs with more grey and industrial accents .. See the FULL reveal below..

Basement Flooring gets installed

The next thing to go in our basement was the flooring.. This was one of the hardest decisions we had to make during this renovation. It's such a permanent fixture, and an expensive one! We wanted to have a cozy basement but we also have a walkout basement open to the backyard and pool. We knew we wanted an easy, low maintenance material for the entrance and hallway to the bathroom, as kids know no limits when it comes to wet bathing suits and having to use the loo. We finally decided on Coronet Opus II in Scenic Grey for our Rec. room, playroom, bedroom and gym. And non slip, easy maintenance Beaulieu Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring in Elmira Oak for french door entry, bar area and hallway.
