The blue theme continued throughout our main floor into our Living room.. not sure if its my little guy growing inside me that's making me go a little BLUE CRAZY! But I like it! I have always loved soft aqua blue's and greens so I ended up using a lot of decor items from our old guest bedroom A.K.A baby James future nursery.. So its nice that my pretty decor items had a new home to go to. See our full living room reveal below..
Adding blues, aquas, mint greens and white really helped soften and brighten the space. To keep the couch comfy and soft, I layered a ton of pillows in a mix of various patterns and designs to create visual interest and really set the tone for the rest of our space.
On our chaise I layered more pillows, and a soft aqua throw blanket.
I removed a few darker items from our bookcases and added in softer lighter items like coral, flowers, and lightly coloured boxes.
On top of my antique cabinet I displayed a faux olive bucket that I picked up from Target filled with dried hydrangeas and a wicker basket full of vintage doilies.
I changed up the look of our round marble coffee table by simply adding a soft blue crate underneath to hold all my extra magazines. On top we have a wicker tray from Pottery Barn paired with a galvanized lantern from Target mixed with vintage items and a white shell ball and yummy scented candle.
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteLove all your touches of blues. So pretty.

Thanks Kris! Have a great week!
DeleteLovely. Wonderful tableaux. Have you considered growing lavender? It's very easy. I cut its early flowering stems and place it in my wall hung white tinware holder to add a lovely scent to my bathroom. A very coastal look, too. love your decorative touch.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the helpful tip.. I should totally grow lavender, I don't know why I don't!! I love the scent and the look. I have some dried lavender around my home currently but growing it myself would be nice touch.
