Our Family Room decorated for Fall

So earlier this week I shared what our Family Room had been looking like. Now I am here to share how we have decorated it for Fall. This year it was all about simple fall touches from nature... click below to see more Simple and natural Fall inspired ideas..

So I packed up all our Summer decor over the weekend.. ;( Slightly bitter sweet to put it away.. ahhh till next spring!
I have to say I am pleased with how our Fall decor turned out this year.. Considering it was all about re-using pieces from all around our home.. 'shop other rooms in your house!'.. Giving my items new homes made everything look and feel fresh again.

Then I added natural items.. loads of hydrangeas and white pumpkins.. seriously that was it.
Hydrangeas from our garden.. I just cut them and laid them to dry for a day or so and poof.. pretty display for free. ;)

Then it was the mad HUNT to find 'white pumpkins!' Has anyone else had a hard time this year? I ended up spotting them in the back area of a farmers market off the highway on our way back from Chuck E Cheese ;) .. the kids were napping, so my hubby stayed in the car.. so I was on a mad dash to find white pumpkins.. They had all sorts of different sizes.. I literally felt like I was in pumpkin heaven!!!.. clearly I am easily amused.
The family rooms main theme is neutrals mixed with lots of different textures.. whites, beiges, burlap, and checkered prints ..all to keep it from getting too boring and white pumpkins of course! ;)
I made the medallion pillow below a while back using a antique doily.
The mantle is a mix of dried hydrangeas and small white pumpkins.. with the addition of our wooden  studded 'B'.. I love the way the nail head trim flows so well with the mirrors edging.
For upper niche on our media unit I used 2 faux white pumpkins that I purchased from Target a few years back when they were still in Canada... I don't typically like plastic pumpkins.. But from a distance they totally do the trick. plus they never rot and I can always find them!! ;)

I don't think I've ever shared this angle of our home before.. I love the way the sky looked..
I brought up all the galvanized lanterns from our basement to display them in a cluster for a simple vignette with the 'fall' addition of these super cute natural fabric pumpkin vase filler that I picked up for under $8 for all of them at my local Homesense.
