Basement Coastal Bathroom Reveal

I am so excited to share our Full Basement Bathroom Reveal today.. It was a labour of love. I just love the way it all turned out! This was a major reno and I am glad to say its OVER!  See the FULL details on our new Coastal Bathroom below..
For the shower, we built it the whole width of the room.. So its huge to say the least.. we did run into issues with ceiling height in this room due to vents.. so we made the most of what we had to work with and kept the height where we could..
The tiles are a simple 3x6 Matte White ceramic tile in a brick pattern. We even had the shower ceiling tiled for extra protection.

We went with the simple and classic lines of the Pfister Ashfield shower faucet in chrome
Instead of adding a shower seat we went with a ceramic garden stool instead..I figured its made for the outdoors so I am sure a little shower water won't hurt it..
Our splurge was the Shower floor.. we went with this river rock style. It not only looks great, it feels good on your feet too!

For the Vanity, we went with the Martha Stewart Harbor Vanity from Home Depot. Beside the vanity I have this great jute hamper to hold the used towels from all the summer swims.

The other splurge was with the bathroom flooring.. We went with heated white ceramic hexagon shaped tiles .. it feels so amazing in a cold basement!!
The galvanized metal wall sconces are outdoor wall lanterns from Lowes..
At $29 a piece they can't be beat!!
The sink faucet is again The Pfister Ashfield faucet in Chrome. I just adore the vintage inspired pump looking handles!
The walls are painted in a very soft grey with a subtle touch of minty green. The paint is Benjamin Moore Grey Lake. I love this colour for a bathroom, especially one with no natural light as it looks perfect in all our lighting.
For wall art.. I made a wooden plank art by stencilling a anchor on stained cedar planks.
Above the toilet I hung a pair of vintage shutters that were this great charcoal colour and I just did a light wash of white chalk paint to soften them up a bit.
Behind the door in the bathroom we had extra wall space so my contractor was able to build another built-in shelving area. It's created the perfect spot to showcase some of our decor. You only really see it once the door is closed so its a nice little surprise for our guests.
Lastly to hold towels we opted out of the regular towel bar and went with 2 Boat Cleats instead. The framed map above is a vintage map of Quebec (where my hubby's Dad is from) and the wicker and galvanized metal basket ties nicely with our galvanized wall lanterns. The basket holds our extra striped pool towels.
