I was at the Dollar Tree the other day and found these cute Gold JOY glittered ornaments for $1.25 for 5! Our tree is mostly decorated with wood, burlap, jute and white ornaments.. Basically it's more neutral..So to make them flow with our decor, I thought why not just paint them? I painted them in Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old White. See below on how Our Christmas Tree looks now..
I used simple jute ribbon instead of the thin gold ribbon supplied. Now the ornament completely ties into our tree theme and the words JOY really POP now!
The glitter subtly shines through the chalk paint
