Our French Country Christmas Tree

One more month 'til Christmas!!! So to mark the occasion I thought i'd share our neutral themed Christmas Tree!.. is a faux tree.. It sounds a lot nicer than Fake! I like the idea of a real one but hate the idea of lugging one home and pine needles.. so this faux one is just fine for now. Our understated tree features a wooden star vine garland, with a mix of new and homemade ornaments mostly made from natural materials like Burlap, wood and Jute, with touches of white.

We placed the tree in this great Galvanized tin tub that I picked this summer at an Antique Fair with my sister in law.. Btw Thanks for carrying it! :) I covered the ugly plastic tree base with lots of Burlap fabric.. I just wrapped and wrapped.. I can always use the burlap later for another project.
I used this beautiful Ruffled Burlap and Muslin Tree skirt. I love the two tone look.
The Star Tree topper is made from a Natural Rattan, I got it last year from Home Depot.. And I just saw that they are selling them again this year.
Our ornaments are a mix of homemade and store bought, I found this great vine Star garland at Canadian tire last year at their Christmas clearout event.
Here are the homemade ones.. Mostly using Dollarstore Materials. Gotta LOVE Jute!
Here is our Christmas Tree with its new addition of Jute Ribbon as Festive Tree trim and a few more homemade ornaments.

To brighten up our tree a bit I made these easy DIY ornaments, a shabby chic keepsake frame and some simple JOY dollar store ornaments with a easy twist.
