For the entry hall table I kept it quite festive.. As it's the first thing you see when you walk in. I decorated with preserved boxwood topiaries, A 'Joy' banner, and a cute Wooden christmas sign from this Etsy shop.
For the front hall pillows, I wanted to keep with our subtle metallic 'Glittery Holiday' theme. So I made a few lumbar pillows out of this great burlap with silver polka dot material from Joann's fabrics online. For this pillow I used stencils that I had and stenciled the word 'Believe' pillow using white chalk paint.
I was on a sewing spree.. And I made these J, O, Y Pillows out of green and beige striped material that had been in my fabric chest for years.. just waiting for the perfect time to be used.. I really love how they turned out!
Hanging off the vintage louvered door that I made into a coat rack, is a burlap stocking. It came with this stamped believe sign on it that I loved and the price was right. Clearly we have a unintentional 'Believe' and 'Joy' theme going on. ;)
So tie in the burlap theme all over our house. I hung a simple ruffled burlap banner that I made off our arched ornate Hall mirror.
To the right of our hall sideboard I have this extra large floor lantern. Normally I have this in our family room.. So I was wild and moved it into the hall for this time of year ;) For the season I just switched out the ceramic starfish that was leaned against the pillar candle with a sparkly wooden star.
A large wooden twig wreath hangs on burlap ribbon tied to the back of our hall mirror. I added a thick piece of burlap as a big bow at the bottom of the wreath to add to the holiday feel. I left the pictures of our daughter and the candle holder. I added a sparkly gold garland and placed some left over glittery ornaments into the base with the pillar candles.
Thanks for looking..
