The Office Reveal

Today I thought I'd take a break from all the Holiday Decor and share my Hubby's office.. It's a great private space for him to catch up on emails and conference calls.. His office is a more masculine version of my style ;)..Although the desk was a joint collaboration! I found the desk with a friend probably a year before we bought it.. I knew it was perfect.. But it was a bit expensive .. so with some persuading he finally agreed it was AMAZING too!! The Office is full of VINTAGE items.. I love using vintage so no two rooms will ever look the same. Check out Our Office Reveal below...

Before the room was NEON.. No I'm kidding it looks worse in the pictures lol.. It was bright though.. It was pretty empty and boring before with the previous owners decor... So we painted the walls and replaced all the old carpeting. We painted the walls this great neutral by Benjamin Moore called Grant Beige.. For the flooring we debated between hardwood as we finished the entire main floor BUT decided to keep this the one room with SOFT FLOORING.

To modernize the room we painted the Juliet balcony doors in BM Cloud white
The French Door leads to my hubby's office.. If you missed our Full Family room reveal..
You can see it HERE.
I Fell in love with this cabinet as soon as I saw it! It provides lots of display space with added storage. It was a Kijiji find for $120. The best part was it was already painted and stained like this..
Of course I had to take advantage of all display space so I displayed a Vintage oil painting on top that I modernized with a Rope detail around the Frame.. Paired with a New Sail Boat from Homesense.
The Office has a Rustic and Vintage vibe with a touch of Nautical flair.
The big splurge in this room was his Desk. It's new but made to look old and rustic with reclaimed wood.. It has ton's of Vintage Details like these brass cup pulls and black leather top which I absolutely adore.
This great Antique wood swivel office chair pairs perfect with his desk

Vintage Desk lamp, Vintage Luggage, Vintage Chest.. Love all the Character worn pieces add to a space... They flow with the Rustic look of the desk perfectly
The 1954 World Map was a $3 Vintage purchase, I finally had custom framed at Michaels a few years back when they had one of their 60% off framing event.
And lastly we hung a Vintage Orb Chandelier in the centre of the room. It was from an Antique Market from one of our mini Summer getaways, Character and memories all rolled into one ;)
His office is almost complete.. Stay tuned for what we do to the walls :)
Thanks for looking today!

  3. That's a great looking office! I agree that the desk is perfect. It's substantial and looks like it's well made. I also like the framed map and the industrial style chandelier.
